So tonight the Pistons will try to stave off elimination for what, the third straight year in the Eastern Conference Finals. You never want to count this team out because I do recall them pulling this exact same feat in 2005 where they were down 3-2 to Miami, proceeded to blow out the Heat in game 6, then they won a tight game 7 on the road in Miami. So yes they can do it, but thwen have they done it recently is the question. The Pistons always talk about how "if it ain't rough, it ain't right", but lately in the past two years under Saunders, it has been rough, but it is far from right.
They did give me hope in game 5 when they brought it to within 1 point. I had gotten my wisdom teeth out that day and all of a sudden during their comeback, I completely forgot about the pain in my mouth. Then they lost, and I once again remembered how badly my mouth was hurting along with the mild pain of them once again rallying too late to try to win a game. But despite the loss, I never give up on this team because you can never predict what they are going to do. I mean, you didn't expect them to win game two, only to come home and lay an egg in game 3. I would say that I fully expect this to go to a game 7 and you heard it here first:
Pistons 97
Celtics 84
That's the score I'm predicting for tonight's game. Game 7 is a whole 'nother story.
